Our Commitee Plans for Vocational Services for 2011-12

VOCATIONAL SERVICES- PP RTn. PANKAJ SETH

Vocational Service, one of Rotary’s Avenues of Service, encourages Rotarians to serve others through their professions and to practice high ethical standards. Rotarians, as business leaders, share skills and expertise through their vocations and inspire others in the process. Observed each October, Vocational Service Month spotlights Rotary club projects related to this avenue, offering an opportunity for clubs and districts to use their professional skills in service projects.

This area represents the opportunity that each Rotarian has to represent the dignity and utility of one's vocation as an opportunity to serve society. Rotarians promote and foster high ethical standards in business and professions and promote the recognition of the worthiness of all useful occupations.

Career Enterprise Committee

This committee arranges an annual retreat (Camp Enterprise) for select high school juniors during which club members and other local business persons make available, through counselling, information about their vocations to students who are choosing a career with special emphasis on business leadership and the need for high standards and opportunities for service in each occupation.
